Streaks

This year has been all about consistency becoming confidence. Trusting that every little thing adds up, no interaction is unnoticed and holds so much energy. People are kind, people try, and people do their best. Hard work is good work, teaching yoga can at times be hard but is always good. Since my training, I set out to learn more than teach, I love every opportunity I get to do this.

To keep accountable in many ways I find committing to time periods or ‘streaks’ really helpful, a powerful way to reset. Whether it’s a sleep streak of hitting my goal, a daily step goal or weekly goal for all the ways I move, this promise to myself boost my self esteem, makes me softer and more compassionate teacher, girlfriend, friend, sister and daughter.

So for the whole of December, I’m going to do my own personal yoga practice each day, even if it means doubling up on days that I teach. I crave inspiration. I seek out grounding. I get so much momentum from coming back to my mat in the big and the small ways. Rediscovering my why and how I want to enter the next year filled with opportunities.

Now, off to roll out my mat.
